Moving services

Moving help, by the hour

Two ways to book. Either you have the truck already and just need the crew, or we bring ours and you rent nothing. Both are billed by the hour with a two-hour minimum.

Loading & Unloading

The service most people book us for. Bring your own truck, PODS, or U-Box and we do the heavy part on one or both ends, or add our truck and skip the rental entirely.

Packing & Unpacking

Short on time before the truck arrives? We pack the house room by room, or unpack it on the other side so you are not living out of boxes for a month.

Piano & Gun Safe Moving

Heavy, expensive, and unforgiving if handled wrong. We have moved baby grands, uprights, and safes, and we price them as their own line item so there is no argument on the day.

Appliances & Heavy Furniture

Washers, dryers, refrigerators, sectionals, treadmills, and the dresser nobody wants to take down the stairs. Straps and dollies, two people minimum.

Fresh walls before you move in, or the touch-up work a landlord wants before you hand back the keys. Prep, tape, and clean lines.

Handyman Repairs & Assembly

Furniture assembly, mounting, patching, and the small fixes that pile up. If it is bigger than a handyman job, we will tell you straight.

Lawn & Bush Cutting

Overgrown hedges, tall grass, and general cleanup. Useful when a property has been sitting empty between tenants.

Two-hour minimum on both options. These are starting rates, not guaranteed totals. What you actually pay depends on how much there is, the distance, stairs or elevators, how close we can park to the door, and any extras you add.

Labor only is for when you have already rented a truck, a trailer, PODS, or a U-Box, and you just need the heavy part done. With our truck means we arrive in our own truck with fuel, blankets, straps, and dollies, and you rent nothing. Booking through Moving Help® or U-Haul is priced by that platform instead, so call us directly for the rates above.

Painting, handyman work, and yard work are quoted per job, so call with the details and we will give you a number.
On the day

What we bring, what you handle

We show up with

  • A uniformed crew of two, three, or four
  • Moving blankets and shrink wrap
  • Lifting straps, back braces, and hand trucks
  • Basic tools for taking beds and tables apart
  • English and Spanish, whichever is easier for you

You take care of

  • Renting the truck, trailer, or container, unless you book our truck
  • Boxes and tape, unless you ask us to arrange them
  • Reserving the elevator or loading dock if your building needs it
  • Parking close to the door where that is possible
  • Telling us about stairs and long carries when you book
Questions

Before you book

How many helpers do I actually need?
A studio or one-bedroom usually goes fine with two. Two to three bedrooms is a three-helper job. Four bedrooms and up, book four unless you want to be there all day. Tell us what you have on the phone and we will give you the honest answer, even when it is the cheaper one.
Is there a minimum booking?
Two hours. After that it is billed by the hour at the crew rate you booked.
Do you bring a truck, or do I rent one?
Either way works. Book labor only and you supply the truck, trailer, PODS, or U-Box, and we handle the loading and unloading. Book with our truck and we show up in ours with fuel included, so you rent nothing. One thing to know: jobs booked through Moving Help® or U-Haul are always labor only, because that platform does not include a truck. Call us directly for the truck option.
Can you move a piano or a gun safe?
Yes, both. Pianos are a flat $200 each on top of the hourly labor. Tell us the type and whether there are stairs when you book, so the right crew shows up.

Sí. The crew works in English and Spanish, and you can call, text, or book entirely in Spanish. Ver esta página en español.
How do I pay?
We take cash, Zelle, Venmo, and Apple Pay for jobs booked directly. If you book through Moving Help® or U-Haul, payment runs through their system with a code you release when the job is finished.
What if my move runs long or the date changes?
Dates move. Call as early as you can and we will do our best to shift you. If the job runs past the hours you booked, we keep working and you are billed for the extra time at the same rate. No surprise multipliers.
